Points awarded for age in the Express Entry pool
The age of an applicant is one of the areas where they can gain points in the Express Entry pool. The table below shows how many points will be awarded for age. The maximum number of points is given to applicants aged between 20 and 29, and after this, 5 points are lost each year up to the age of 44. After the age of 44 applicants may still apply to the Express Entry pool, but no points will be awarded for age. Please note that the number of points awarded for age will also depend on whether the applicant is applying with or without a spouse.
